Once Impact emanated from legitimate arenas, the difference in the show was striking. There was more energy. There was more excitement. There was more enthusiasm surrounding TNA as a property. But while it had been a great decision to get away from Universal, there wasn’t an immediate, commensurate increase in ratings for the touring shows (that fact isn’t surprising, by the way – it was unrealistic to expect a difference so quickly).

Therefore, within a matter of months, the touring strategy was abandoned – and TNA went back to the soundstage.
